Einat Gilboa is a singer and dancer from Israel. She graduated the school of visual theatre in Jerusalem after 3 years of studies in the fields of theatre, body work, puppet- and street theatre, voice development and voice art. Strongly influenced from the sacred music of the Hebrew tradition and Indian, Tribal and Gipsy music she cultivated her own unique and very touching style of singing and a great stage presence. In the field of dance she integrated different styles like oriental and belly dance, gipsy dance, free and modern dance into a more holistic form of expression.
In the last 7 years Einat has been performing and teaching together with her partner Gerhard in different projects of healingworldmusic around the world. She is highly developed in the shamanic art of overtonesinging and guides movenement, voice and dance workshops, prayer singing circles and retreats.
From childhood on I was very attracted to music and theatre and used to spend hours singing and dancing (like all of us children of this world...). With the age of eight I started to learn piano and to attend classes for acting and dance. Later on in high school and university I continued opening up to those arts of expression. Through inspiring teachers, artists and true spiritual guides I dived deeper into the world of sound and voice. In all these years the very essential question of “Why?” started to arise. For which purpose do I gather this knowledge and develop all this talents? This question kept sitting there, at the core of myself, and actually prevented me from fully walking on the path of performance for the sake of art or personal statement only. I realised that the inner journey that I walked, the language that had opened up through these arts, the communication between me and my soul, the moments of tuning in and touching the great mystery were more precious and meaningful than the need to fulfil certain expectations of inner motives and conceptions of art. Surrendering to this feeling became my conscious choice of simply wishing to sing and dance, allowing the divinity to shine and spread its wings through my body and voice. Observing nature in all of its aspects and guided by the inner voice of my heart I kept developing and creating this unique way of work, dedicating myself to the path of music and healing. During the years of partnership with Gerhard I received a lot of inspiration and knowledge in the field of music, healing and overtone singing. Travelling together around the glob (which is real fun!) we started performing together and live the way of music as a bridge between different traditions, places and people, shining the universal love through the male female reflection. Supporting and serving those moments, occasions and projects became my true wish and delight.
